Grin  Well, after much work, experimenting and hair pulling, I finally got it figured out and adapted this to work in FS9. Got the idea from a post in the FS2004 section. Had to get the utility called Dynamic Turbo Smoke Effect for FS2002 from here: http://www.simviation.com/fs2002misc12.htm. I used a smoke fx file that was in the Vietnam expansion pack I had gotten. It was for the F4 Phantom. With some experitmenting and editing of the files and naming of the FX file I got it to work for the Phantom and the Beechcraft King Air 350. Take a look.

Nice eh? The FX file that comes with the above mentioned download only puts the smoke out behind the acft. a short distance. It's nice but I wanted the long trail of smoke. That's where my FX file came in. I substituted it by putting it in th Effects folder and then renaming the fx file called for to MY FX file. Further editing got it positioned right for the Phantom. Then I just renamed the FX file so that it would be used only for the Phantom or the KA350. I can now add this smoke to any acft. I wish. Would have to reposition the the points that the fx is displayed from.

Yes Andrew. Just Flight put it out quite awhile back. Just Flight does add on stuff for Flight Sims and the Train Simulators. Martin Wright went to work for them with his expertise. The Viet Nam Expansion Pack was mainly for CFS2 or FS2k2. Nice acft., Missions are fair and all the airfields it added in Viet Nam were really great. I have used several of the pieces from that pack to upgrade and play with in my own CFS 2 and FS2k2 and now FS2k4.

Yes, it is. Don't remember how much it cost when I got it. At the time I thought it was MAYBE a little high for what you got. But if the price has dropped any, then it would be worth the cost to get the excellent acft., panels, jet sounds and the extra "intangible" I mentioned earlier.  Wink
