I'd like to contact Mike to get his approval to use his Seafire MkIII sound files on my MKVIII project.
Anyone have an email contact?

Thanks,
I'll contact him tonight.

The Fury I agree was the pinnacle of piston engined aircraft, but........ there's nothing better than the sweet sound of a Merlin engine especially when its hanging on the front of a Spitfire!!!

So your ideal of a prop-engined airliner is the Canadair North Star?

Well I'd have to say, if it's not a Spitfire, it's not a plane!

Airliners, well forget the heavy metal stuff and think about a Beach C18, now that looks sexy.

Well, as we all know, Spits were flown with not only Merlins, but Griffons and DB605s....

PS - The North Star was a DC-4 variant with four (4) (that's three more than a Spit carred) Merlins....
