Not sure where these should belong but they are very interesting...
This is the hurricane ISABEL viewed from the space station, and from the Sea.
We don't see photos like these very often.

Is there a way I can create these kinds of images in FS?
I am unable to download realtime weather, because my FS computer is a standalone, so I have no way to put the weather in.
The object here would be to take the SR-71 up and take some shots from about 75,000 ft. Could I get the traditional "eye of the storm" view that way? What would I have to put into the weather generator?
Also, is there a site I can download packs of weather from certain days and load them into FS at any given time?
BTW, that shot from space is incredible!

Hi Cherokee...
...!
Thanks for the photos...
The first one looks like my saucepan of porrige bubbling on my gas stove, but MUCH more dangerous....
...!
As this is such a serious storm, perhaps we can have a few more photos of it from various States as it progresses Northwards...?
Cheers all...!
Paul.

The one from the ship is, in fact, a fake. The coud types contradict each other and a hurricane has clouds as far as the eyes can see.

Not if you're at the very edge. Stands to reason, there has to be an edge. A place where the clouds end . . .
Why would a ship intentionally drive itself into a hurricane in the first place? Of course they're going to sit off the edge of it, maybe try to get back to port before it hits. Or maybe the hurricane was on its way in.
The only real way to know is to find out where they came from.
Where did you get those, Cherokee?

I know for a fact that the ship picture is NOT A FAKE! How do I know that?!?! Because I took that picture!...
hee hee just kidding...
If I was on that ship you would have seen a guy cowering in the corner weepin' like a little school girl!
These pics were just forwarded to me from a friend...have no idea where they came from.

Then why does the satellite image show a very abrupt end to the cloud line?! What if the ship was right at the end of that ring of cloud?! ???
