Now I have a AI 777 that is bare of texture markings. Just a grey form. The default 777 as well.

What I want to do is leave the default 777 but change the AI 777's to a new texture. If I change the "texture=" on fltsim.0,1,2 I loose the texture for ALL 777's...AI and default.

Is there a way to ONLY change the AI 777 textures, and leave the default (fltsim.0)one intact.

Also the texture I am using is a 777-200ER. Will that be a problem on a 777-300 airframe? Is that why it is not working?

My money is on this being the problem.  If the texture is not SPECIFICALLY for the aircraft that you are adding it to, it will not work.  Not only does it have to be the same type of aircraft, it has to be made specifically for that model.  If it doesn't say so in the install documents, it won't work.

Which 777 is it?  The stock?  If so, search for a livery (texture) using the words "stock" or "default" or something like that.

There's more to it, but I don't want to confuse the situation.  Felix?  Hagar?  Anybody . . .

I would like to thank everyone who helped me out on this topic. However I think I will try to use PAI. I heard it is easier than dealing with individual texture files.
Look for my next post "PAI HELP". Coming soon to this forum. Cheesy Cheesy Smiley Smiley

f-16,
The great thing about this is - never give up; you'll get there! When I started on this site just over a year ago, I couldn't tell an airfile from an aardvark, but there're all these great people out there to help you, just like we have all benefitted.

Rock on!

I think I've caused enough confusion already. The problem is either the textures or the CFG entries. The PAI stuff might be your best bet.

Just to clarify, all variations of the default flyable aircraft like the 777 are used for AI traffic. Converting them into AI Only drones by tweaking the AIR file simply removes them from the selection menu.
