Hi all,

I've been working on some ships in gmax and what would really set them off would be if the radars actually turned. The SDKs say that you can use the Beacon2/3/4/5 or Tick18 labels to do this but they don't bloody work!

HELP!

This worked for me. In the front viewport, draw a single polygon (3 points, 3 segments) using the Line tool. Clean it up by moving points to exactly where you want them. About 1'x 1' is big enough. Convert to edible mesh. Name the part Beacon2. Center the pivot to the poly and align the pivot to the world. Be sure to move it to where you want your center of rotation. Then link your radar dish to it.

I've tried as you said but can't seem to get it to work!  Sad

Would it be too much trouble for you to create a very simple working radar gmax file to demonstrate it for me? (Literally a box with a simple box shaped radar transciever)

Thanks!
