Hi kids,,,I'm Baaaack !!!

Maybe someone can tell me if this currently exists and if not would someone be up to doing this ?

MY favorite plane is the DeHavilland  Montana Air DHT3TA.

What I would love to see a custom repaint, ( I have a few different ideas ), the cockpit panel needs some serious help as well, ie. when highlighting a certain guage it will give not only a description but also gives what the current value is...like the Cessna Amphib does.

I also like the three fuel guage cluster idea and would like to retain that in the new panel.  Maybe a updated panel design is in order and a upgraded Autopilot would be sweet too..Is panel Radar too much to ask ?....lol

Prop feathering does not have a cockpit control that actually functions.   Is there a chance of getting airbrakes (spoilers) added to this plane ?

This plane doesn't have a virtual cockpit at the moment, but that is not on the top of my list right now.

I like the flight Dynamics as they are, be they actual or not...although a little higher top speed would be nice.

Is it possible to get functioning passenger and cargo doors ?

As this plane is right now this plane seems to be very easy on frame rates which is great for me untill I can get some more hardware upgraded..

I know all this is alot to ask for,  but about 6 months ago I order FSDS, from here and to this date have not seen it...In any case being disabled myslef I spend countless hours on my sim,,and although I have tried may times, one of these days I'll get the online part of my sim to work....,oh btw,,I am using 2002-pro

If anyone is willing to take this on, please let me know and we can share ideas..

Thanks

Britney

Hi Britney, good to see you again Smiley

I'm afraid I don't have all the answers to all your questions, but i'll do my best.

This isn't too hard, just takes some time. Is this model and FSDS2 version?

I'm afraid the only answer to this is to use gauges which already have this feature.

It's probably possible to edit the FDE to enable these functions.

Shouldn't be too hard to change either, just editing the FDE should do.

This is not possible without using FSDS and having the original source files.

Britney. If you ordered FSDS from a reputable distributor I suggest mailing them to find out what's going on. Six months is far too long to wait. FSDS2 is available by immediate download from their site. http://www.abacuspub.com/

If you give me the exact page this aircraft is posted on I can soon tell you which design program it was cxreated with. New aircraft are being released all the time with the features you're looking for. It's possible this one has since been updated.

I definitely agree with Hagar on this point, I start ranting and sending E-mails if I don't receive a package within 2 weeks.
I live in Michigan, once I had a package arrive from England in 3 days, but a package from Ohio (a neighboring state) once took over 3 weeks!

Britney, in regards to your 6 month wait for your item, I would at this point assume it has been lost in the mail, or never sent at all, I have had this happen several times, sometimes the seller will issue a refund or send another copy. I would make contact with the seller in any case.
I have done a lot of buying and selling on Ebay, and it is no big secret how inefficient the USPS can be at times.

  Anyway, good luck! ...

As far as FSDS,,I am having my bank look back to see when exactly I did buy it before I start asking questions.

OK. From the page number alone I could be confident this is an early FSDS1.x model. These early models won't have the features of later Gmax & FSDS2 designs. It's possible the aircraft has since been updated with these features. Either do a site search or start from the Newest Files & work backwards. I found a DHC3-TTC by Eugene Heyart here. http://www.simviation.com/fs2002props49.htm

Hope this one's OK & that you get your FSDS sorted out. Maybe we'll see you in the design forum. Wink

Ah yes the Super Otter is a great model, very nice detail and the flight dynamics aren't that bad either,,but unfortunatly for some reason its a real frame rate killer, at least for me it is

I am very well aware that I am in need of some serious hardware upgrades and I have done a few starting with a new Radeon 9600 Pro, 128, and even though that has helped alot,,now its on to the CPU, Ram & Motherboard,,,for some reason my diags insist on maintaining a 1X setting.  My Motherboard Bios is set for 4X,,,,anyway I am still working on figuring that out..

My "average" frame rates hover around 6-fps to the mid to high teens...

Anyway, I just got  my last boarding call  announcment so I had better go get suited up...

Happy Flying,

Brat

Well if anyone needs help with the panel, I am GLADLY there to help. I have been working on a couple of panels lately, and if you can find me a background or just give me info, I can no doubt get it done, custom gauges and all. Grin

Saratoga, do you write your own gauges?

Yes if necessary. I sometimes have custom ones made, sometimes base it off others gauges (with permission, of course) but often, yes I write my own. Grin

Look at this . . . all us guys bending over backwards to help a cute young blonde. Wink  If I had posted these questions, I'd be getting responses along the lines of "Go download this" and "Add this to the aircraft.cfg/airfile"! Grin Roll Eyes

But, just to get a little serious for a moment: Brit-brat, since you have the Pro version, why haven't you tried out Gmax?  I know it seems hard, and it is, but I've gotten to the point where I'm actually starting to build stuff with it.  (Course I still can't get it to convert to *.mdl format!  FELIX!!  HELLLPPP!!!)
