Hello fellow simmers,

I have just got myself a broadband connection and I desperately want to fly online with others.

Where do I go?  What do I do?

I don't want anything regimented, I just want to play to start with and see how the thing works.

Many thanks,

Jab45

There's a few possibilites for flying online. The most popular one amongst simmers here is VATSIM, which you can find at http://www.vatsim.net . It has a bit of a steep learning curve, but it's well worth it. Flying online with other aircraft in the area and interacting with real people providing ATC is a really fantastic way to fly online. They have a few guides there telling you how to get it all set up. I'd recommend VATSIM to anyone thinking of flying online!

If you just want to do some casual, low-level VFR flying, enter bn2.turbulentsky.com in Flight Simulator's multiplayer connection box and select the session named "Bushnet2". I haven't tried this, so I can't provide you with much more on that!

I would also recommend VATSIM, but I'd give it such a strong personal recommendation that I don't even bother mentioning any other names, because to me, there aren't any.

The above post is correct, though.  It takes some learning, and you'll get frustrated, but anyone can learn how to fly on VATSIM like an expert.  And you'll be flying with live voice ATC.  What else could you ask for?

Great edit, Bob.&&&&&&Google it. &&&&www.google.com

Once flying, i've received the following message: "You are not visible to others IVAO users. You might need to register Squawkbox as an application w/ FSUIPC" and they gave me the codes.

WHERE Am I supposed to register? I've tried in FSUIPC but w/ my 2.97 version, there is no form where to register. What can I do (I precise that I'm registered at IVAO & VATSIM).

Thanx a lot.
