God, I'm just full of questions today.

Is it possible to remove the airliners that are in my fleet by default?  I don't want the Orbit 777 there, or any of the default planes for that matter.

I would think that you could just delete them out of the aircraft folder....(again...I think)  Wink

If you wish to remove them from the selection menu it should be possible to convert flyable aircraft into AI Only drones like the default Dash8. Open the AIR files in AirEd & change the Aircraft Type from 0 to 2. It's not advisable to actually delete any default files. IMHO

Reeeeally.  Making that one small change will take them out of the flyable aircraft list?  Hmmm...maybe I'm reading it wrong.  lol

That would be awesome because another issue I'm having is with the PAI aircraft showing up as flyable aircraft.  It's great because I've got a huge hangar full of all kinds of planes, but I doubt the flight characteristics are that good.  lol

Thanks!

It really is that simple. I learned this little trick in the early days of CFS1. The FS2002/4 AI drones are exactly the same as those in CFS. Before my HD crashed I had a hangar full of AI drones specifically for use as AI Traffic.

Cherokee, that is not a very good idea. A lot of planes are aliased to the default ones (sound or panel). Deleting them or even renaming their folders will cause problems; all the aliased planes will lose their panel or sound. Worse still: I think a plane will not show up in the aircraft list if it's wrongly aliased (- please correct me if I am wrong).

Cheers

Well what prompted this question is that once a long time ago I tried to delete them, and it resulted in a full re-install of F$, so I know that's not the way to go.  lol
