In last months Flying magazine was a flight review of the Adam 500 which as some of you may already know is a tail boomin centerline thrust beauty of a twin piston.  I's similar to a C -377? Skymaster but bigger, more powerful and generlally much better.  It will certify with analogue primary flight instruments alongside a G-530 stack and a plasma display eicas to speed things but for next year they are already planing to use the new avidyne PFD which is already certified in the Cirrus 20 and 22 models.  What an add-on this beauty would make.  Lets hope fight one or FSD or Phoenix gets the idea.

Other then being a push-puller it has nothing in commen with the 337. For exapmle, the 337 has a high wing. Does look like a nice airplane. I was wondering what ever happend to cabin class twins. I would love for Cessna to introduce the 421 back into probuction. I did hear they were talking about annoucing one. Mooney going to also Grin

At the recent NBAA 2003 in Orlando (Thanks OTTOL) Adam Aircraft was showing off both the A500 and A700 prototypes. "Up close and personal" the two airplanes stand out from the others.

The cockpit is (er will be) common to both.  Right now the A-500 prototype has mostly analogue instruments, and there's little space inside for more than two pilots - the rest of the area is instrumentation racks.

Adam had a cockpit mockup and the cockpit is very spacious, with joystick controls.

Chuck Dome has made an A-700.

Chuck should be working on an A-500 as well.

Other than a twin boom push pull configuration, the A500 is nothing like the Cessna 337.

Citationpilot - you would have drooled at the Cessna exhibit ...
