I've just started playing around with AI aircraft for a project I'm working on. I've noticed that when AI aircraft taxi out to the runway to take-off, they'll do a little shimmey from side to side whenever they reach an intersection or turn. It's like the AI is trying to determine which path to follow and it's looking around to see what's available. I've tried three or four different types of AI aircraft and they all seem to act the same way. Is there a simple way to smooth out this little extra movement, or is it the nature of the software?

What you described is indeed typical behavior for AI ground traffic.

The path that an aircraft takes from gate to runway or vice/versa is determined by AI in its entirety (start to finish), so it's not a matter of aircraft that can't make up their mind where to go.  It just seems to happen, as you pointed out, at taxiway intersections. Undecided
