Grin oh my god, i got back from my CAP meeting and i walked in on a briefing i was supposed to be in, and it was about the Aviation Festival here in Wichita!. Apparently this year were having the USAF t- birds, a wing walker(fill in names if you know about them), a guy who straps fireworks to his t-6, and(drum roll please.....) PATTY WAGSTAFF!!!! Cheesy. This year is supposed to be the biggest in many many years(if not the biggest) in the air capitol!
Now i know this may not sound very big to you others, but for cryin out loud this is kansas and we are lucky to even have a big concert here. Well anyways, the USAF and CAP have their work cut out for them- they have to control all of these crazy KAnsAS folk who want to watch some 1st class entertainment(after all we need it cause all we do here is stare at wheat!lol) ill try to bring my camera and upload pics to show here(if they let me-last year some idiot left a camera on a fed ex 727 and they evacuated the whole damn base)

Lips Sealed Just telling you what I know works for me.  I'm sure that they use military frequencies as the primary method of communication, but like I said, I have heard them on 141.85 every time I have seen them in the past 8 years! (5 days in a row at the dayton airshow...)
I don't have time to research this, but it may be just harmonics on this frequency, or they may be broadcasting on this grequency for their announcer.
Give me until the weekend and I will try to do some research on this topic just to be sure.

Sounds like a great show!  I just saw the Thunderbirds for the first time at this year's ESAM Northeast Airshow at the end of August.  They were awesome.

Also, I saw Gary Soule and his beautiful plane, as well as his wingwalker, whose name is escaping me right now.   They were both very, very good.

And we had a guy, whose name I can NEVER remember, who flies a hangglider with pyro attached to it.  The kicker is, he's a parapalegic.  Absolutely amazing flying.

Sounds like a similar show down Kansas way....enjoy it!

Great edit, Bob.&&&&&&Google it. &&&&www.google.com

ya its going to be a great show, and rightfully so.  Wichita is the home to some of the greatist aircraft manufactures of all time(beech, cessna, stearman, travel air, laird)
