Hey, I just downloaded Patrick Freitag's Eurocopter BK-117, and I've got a problem.

As soon as F$ starts, the helo shuts down.  I've gone through the normal CTRL-E start up sequence, but it doesn't work.

Anyone know how I might fix this?

Okay Scott, you need to read the bit in the manuals about starting the jetranger. Once the needles are at 90% (I think its Ctrl F3 for this), then you can fire up the engine. Its something to do with not being able to disengaged the helis gearbox.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a go when I get home tonight.  It's a great little helo, and his panel is awesome!  (It will look even nicer when I'm done repainting it in the paint of the local medflight helo for a friend of mine...)

Switching to the default Jetranger (which strangely enough will have its engine running, even if the Eurocopter hadn't) and back solves it as well. I have not succeeded in starting the 117 either...
Will try the suggestions mentioned before.
Cheers

I received the following suggestion from Patrick himself regarding this question.

If anyone can tell me exactly how to do this, it would be sooo appreciated.

Quote:
There is one solution : copy the bell206b-air.-file and manipulate the gear_points, the lights and the flight dynamics (roll, aileron, yaw).

Well, if that's the solution....why doesn't the thing come with this manipulated  air-file! That's what I'd like to know. Shocked
