While flying a tutorial on NDB's I tried to tune to 349.5 but were unable to get the final 0.5. The frequency on the map is listed correctly. Plcaing the cursor over the tenths figure doesn't cause the icon to change to a hand (and plus sign) like it does with the other numbers.

Tutorial says something along the lines of making sure than I have selected the half frequency option but how to do this??

Googling not helped much.

So in fs2002Pro how do I change the ADF by 0.5!!

Is this an fs2002 tutorial?  I'm not familiar with a "half-frequency option"........

I have always been able to tune to a half-frequency by placing the cursor over the number to the right of the decimal and clicking when the minus sign appears.

If you are flying an add-on aircraft, then it is possible that the radio stack wasn't designed for use with fs2002.............. Undecided

Just flying the default cesna172 that came with fs2002pro. No third party software loaded.

Have some modified scenery files (.nz only) and a downloaded Mosquito neither of which are being used when I can't change the ADF

The tutorial in form the july/august issue of PCpilot which mention that is would be wise to setup for the half frequency option but doesn't mention how to do this...

I now recall that in a previous version of Flight Simulator, I was able to go into the settings and select the half-frequency option, but that was eliminated for fs2002.  You should be able to use the cursor with the Bendix radio stack in the default Cessna 172. ???

The easiest way to rectify this is to go to a default aircraft and set the adf to the required frequency (in .5 increments) then change planes. Also the fsuipc.dll added to modules allows for .5 increments in its technical section - this add on module is available here at simviation. There are also ways to edit your panel.cfg file to get the particular plane to pull up the fs2002 radio stack ( I have done this getting the default Cessna Bendix King stack to pop up along with the third party one and seems to work a treat - if you need assistance in this area just ask and I will reply with the instructions) . Regards and happy landings, Bill Grin

PhantonFlyer

Idiot proof instruction would be useful.

Not sure wht you mean by changing to a default aircraft as I am only using the default cesna (or has downloading aother plane with guage files etc, changed my settings in some way?

Sorry for the delay replying. The best way this can be rectified is to get the FREE fsuipc.dll (by peter dowson)from simviation (latest version always available) and install it (easy to do-follow the idiot proof instructions) . start flight sim and you will have the modules bar to click from your menu when you hit the alt key. click it and then use the "technical" tab..then in there you can select the 50khz option for the fs 2002 settings. Make sure you  read Mr. Dowson's "read me" that comes with the download....there's alot you can do with this free module to "fix" up some of the things they did to fs2002 - just when we were getting used to fs2000! I wonder what surprises fs2004 will hold? Hope this helps (it works here - even took a screenshot  so you can see). Regards, Bill....ps no additional gauges you mentioned that you have installed could have caused this to happen, to answer your question. You are most welcome to email me if you want to at :phantomflyer81@hotmail.comURLhttp://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/nav_50.jpg <<<<<<<<<<ps.added the screenshot for you here Grin

Well in the end I just reinstalled fs2002 and can now chnage the adf in 0.5 increments. The radiostack panels are different so it appears that the stack file must have been changed when I installed a new plane.

Thanks for your suggestions
