Well, tomorrow morning I will be on my way out of town to get a third car.  Can you believe it, I am 18 and I have 3 cars.  This one is a 1974 Chevrolet El Camino with a 350 in it.  My uncle is giving it to me so I can use it as a parts car and believe, it won't be intact for long.  As soon as I get it home, I'm gonna get to work and try and get it running.  My main plan is to use it for parts for my 69 Camaro (wiring harness, brake system, steering gear should all fit-and I think think it may have a 12 bolt posu traction rearend which I need and don't want to pay $1000 for one and not to mention the engine).  I am also gonna keep all the body bolts that are good and everything else that I salvage.  But the nice thing is it has a rather new engine in it, although I don't want to go with a small block-but I can use it for now and get the Camaro running.  I can then focus on the rest of the car and when I find the engine I want I can get it and rebuild it at my own pace and still drive the car.  I'm very excited!   Grin Grin Grin

Actually, he's giving it to me.  He originally bought it back in 1999 to fix up as a car for his mother to drive but he hasn't had anytime to really do anything with it-So, I went out there with a trailer today and brought it home.

Thats the real key.  I was given my driver car by my parents and they told me that I couldn't do anything to it (modification wise)-if I wanted to have a car to do that I had to get a second car myself.  So, thats how I ended up with the 69 Camaro and the 74 El Camino.   Wink

Hehehe. None of those beats my Land Rover series IIA.

It might not be road legal but the engine works. It goes forwards and backwards. And it has selectable 4 wheel drive and a three ratio five selection gear box. Grin

Whats more it can either be an estate, pickup, convertable or half and half! Grin

Thats my long term restoration project. At the moment i'm just sticking the peices back on when they fall off... Tongue Grin
