This leg takes me from Houston to a small airport on the Texas/New Mexico border called Portales Mun, Q34.

Awaiting clearance for take off, admiring the sun rise.

Take off into the soup.

Downtown Houston off in the distance.

I always seem to bump into his guy.

Goodbye Houston...

Somewhere in Texas, God knows where.

On downwind almost out of gas, at Portales Mun.

Once again, safly on the ground...

On the next leg I whined up in a Mexican airport, 50 miles from San Diego, with not enough gas to taxi to parking.
