I noticed in one of the posts that there is a no cd patch for CFS3 available via Simviation.  I looked for it but could ot find it.  Where is it?
Thanks.  I have a 2.4ghz Pentium 4 with 256 RAM and 32 m video card.  Best FPS I can get is around 23.  Games stutter is bad.  What's the first thing I should do for improvement?

The things you will need to do to increase performance are:

1) Purchase more RAM, 256 isn't enough to run most things properly these days.

2) Get a decent graphics card with more than 32MB on it.

The patch is available at http://www.simviation.com/cfs3_misc2.htm and to improve performance read the tweaks thread near the top of the page, and upgrade to 512mb RAM, you'll find it runs much better.

WinkThanks for all your replies.  I got the No_CD patch and installed it.  Read many of the tweaks messages, and I'm off to the memory store to get more RAM.  Need to save my pennies or farthings to get another video card.  Can I add RAM to my onboard video graphics?  I have a 32 meg SIS 651 VGA Chipset with an open AGP slot, whatever that is but I hope that means another memory slot!!

The AGP slot is for an AGP graphics card, which you would be much better off with rather than your onboard graphics. The only rule of thumb is, buy the best graphics card you can afford. A Radeon 9700 would suit you just grand, but anything over the 8500 will do fine. Best advice would be to browse a few sites to get an idea on prices and specs.
