This is mainly to Hagar but anyone else who knows please help!

Hagar, you pointed out to someone else a few posts ago, that there was a utility for fixing .MDL files. I downloaded it and it works. But now I have lost it and I was wondering whether you could please tell me where to download it from again.

Thanks in advance.

_44x44. I think you mean the MDL Converter Tool.
http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs2/articles_SDK_mdlconverter.asp
This is for CFS2 Only. It's used for converting FS2000 aircraft to allow external weapons to display in CFS2. It's no use for CFS1 which doesn't have this feature.

There is also the MDL Repair Utility for fixing a display conflict with some earlier aircraft & WinXP. http://www.simviation.com/fs2002utilities_ess1.htm
Try this if you have WinXP & get error messages when selecting some 3rd party aircraft.

Cheers Hagar,

It was the MDL repair utility. I know it is for error messages, but when I have an airplane that doesn't display (ie. when you try to select the aircraft the previous aircraft come up frozen), this tool fixes it! I know it is not meant for that - but I figured it would work - and it does!

I mended a Mosquito that wasn't working - now it flies without a single problem.

Thanks again.

Great. Wink
This is exactly what it's for. I don't remember mentioning the MDL Repair Utility recently.  I don't have WinXP myself so I guess I didn't explain it too well. Roll Eyes
