Hi All... Grin..!
Does anyone know of a site location, (I've tried the usual ones), for a de Haviland DH-88 Comet for use with FS 2002.
....It's the model which is included in FS 2004.
I've tried copying the FS 2004 model over into the FS 2002 Aircraft Folder, but it doesn't show up... Cry...!
I just LURVE the sound of those twin Gypsy engines... Grin...!
I've got both FS 2002 and FS 2004 but everything runs much smoother on my FS 2002... Wink...!
....smooth, I like... 8)...!
LOL...!

Cheers all... Grin...!

Hey Fozzer,

There's a Comet C4 in DAN-AIR livery in the recent downloads pages for FS2002. It has a panel with it (all you need to do is add a few icons to operate the radios etc.). I use VC10 sounds for the engines (available out there on the net); the Conways sound a little bit like the Avons!

Cheers!

Hi Micro...
...have you got a link to this plane...?
A search of SimV doesn't find it... Cry...!
REMEMBER, it's not the jet-propelled, aluminum, cigar tube DH Comet, but the twin Gypsy piston engined prop plane, identical to the default plane in FS 2004..!

Cheers mate... Grin...!

Aaaargh! Sorry - I was referring to the jet-propelled aluminium cigar tube! I've never really managed to get 'into' prop jobs.

Fozzer, the best I could find was an FS98 one which is located here: http://www.bluesteel.bravepages.com/planes2.html.  I haven't tried it so I don't even know if it's the right one-but maybe it will hold you over until you find a better one (if there's even one out there  ???).   Wink

Richie,
Thanks for this. Although the link says DH88, what you get is the DH106 jet prototype - or at least, that's what the readme and picture in the zip file say. I think Fozzer may well have to build his own!

Is it, well-I tried.   Sad

Looks like your probably right.

I just downloaded it for myself, your right it's the Comet jet-not the DH88.  I will look a little more but I doubt one's out there.
