With a request for more of last nights jaunt, here are a few more of the cloud dancing and stuff in a little HotRod......Van's Aircraft RV-6, I think it has 180 HP.......200 mph ? .........easy peasy !
After take-off, we did the circuit so we could do a 200 KIAS beatup for Wendy......
She was right beside the runway as we "flew" by !
This is Comox Lake, looking into the sun........
Dancing around the clouds as we pass through 7500'.....
Tough sun angle to get a correct exposure and avoid bug reflections on the canopy.......
The view of the tops from 10,000+
We drilled a hole right through the top of this tower.....
It's really rugged up here with snow pockets showing that its still cold in the upper reaches of the Islands mountains.........
More of the snow and rock, viewed through the whispy clouds below us........
From above, we first see Comox Lake just over the ridge, and in the distance, the bay between Courtenay and Comox shows itself..........
Over this ridge and down to the lake........
Zooming past the rock faces and trees.......
Heading back to Courtenay Airpark..........
Threshold is in clear sight, and landing is seconds away.....
Down and rolling out......

Absolutely incredible!!!
Great shots, Ken.
You are one lucky fellow to live so close to that airpark.
Thanks!

Guys, I'm sure that if I had a visitor, I would try to talk Hal into giving a Glacier tour to a good friend who is willing to put up the gas money.....
.......that reminds me, I have a friend who was supposed to come and visit for a few days ?...........Hmmmmm...........

I love the ones above the clouds
This reminds of my flight in a Fuji FA200 where I had the controls for 90% of time

Ken I promise to drop in with the goodies as soon as I can afford the airfair
Mark
PS. How much does it cost to import a 50 gallon oil drum of marmalade, just I need to talk with Wendy about this

Was I being bad in showing how nice it is here at this time of year ? ???....was only trying to be neighbourly
......not my fault that I was forced into a plane at the threats of bodily harm and forced to take piccies for everyone to see
......not my fault that I can't stop smiling at the thoughts of the ground and sky spinning as we rolled on the way back from the mountains
........Honest, .....its not my fault !

Nice shots Ken. BC is perhaps one of the nicest parts of the country.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.
