I've finally completed the first leg of my Vickers Vimy Cross Country Canada voyage. Here are the shots of the Vimy arriving at Perry Sound

...
Vimy on the last few miles of leg 1. Perry Sound Municiple comes into view.

...
On final approach at Perry Sound.

...
Vimy making a less them perfect landing. Its slow response time takes some getting used to.

...
Vimy posing for a glamour shot in the mid-August morning sun. Nothing left to do but have a bite to eat and a good stretch. Next stop Sudbury!

Grin Grin Grin  I love that plane, Orenda.  For a kick try flyin it out of Cascade Locks (KCZK) in the Thunderstorm or Windy mode.  It's a battering,  wild ride.  Gonna try a real weather flight with the Vimy out of KCZK, its supposed to be "where all the great windsurfers go", renowned by its very strong, tricky winds and weather in the gorge.  Someone recommended it to me.

Nice pics and will follow your trip

I try to maintain the Vimy at 63knts ground speed (which is about 116km/h) flying at 2100-2200ft.
