How do i add guages to a virtual cockpit using Cfgedit?
When i add them to the bitmap with cfgedit and save them as Vcockpit, they don't show up in FS2002. ANYONE have any ideas, greatly recieved.

If we're talking FS2002, this is an issue with the aircraft .mdl file.  The VC is directly related to the aircraft model file, and can't be modified without the source files for the aircraft.  The .mdl file specifies which gauges go where in the VC and there is nothing anyone but the original author can do about it, sorry.

At least, this is what I have found out, I could be wrong. Roll Eyes

Which aircraft is this & does it have a proper DVC? It's possible to add & change the gauges in an existing DVC.

Thanks for the replies, and in answer to youre question Hagar, its Ian Standfasts wonderful BO105 helicopter. Its originally a FS2000 aircraft, alough i don't think that makes a difference. As far as having a DVC i am not sure. Does DVC refer to dynamic virtual cockpit?
I know its possible to add gauges to a vcockpit as i have added a VEMD to the EC120 Colibri and it works fine.

sbsufo. A DVC is a dynamic virtual cockpit with functional gauges. I haven't tried the helo you mention but most FS2000 aircraft (including the defaults) don't have this feature or interior views. Some might have a static virtual cockpit which is usually a simple BMP image of the panel. Look in panel.cfg for [VCockpitxx] entries. If they're missing, the aircraft does not have a DVC & it's not possible to add one- as Ender & Ozzy pointed out.

Thanks Hagar, youre right on the money. Its just a bitmap as a vcockpit with no entry in the cfg. file. I guess i will just have to build a whole new BO105.
Thanks again for all the replies.
