You can shut down individual engines in Flightsim.  Check the Flight Sim help files for the key combinations.

Ctrl-Shift-F1 shuts the fuel pump down

Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and An-24RV&&&&AI flightplans and repaints can be found here

actually CTRL-SHIFT-F1 makes the fuel mixture "lean" so no fuel gets to the engine the fuel pump is usually used during a climb or on take-off. First you need to select the engine you want to turn off before doing that. To select an engine say engine 1 and 4 for the loitter mode of the nimrod you press E+1 and then press CTRL-SHIFT-F1 and repeat for engine for by pressing E+4 then CTRL-SHIFT-F1

Hope that helped.
