Well, now that FS2k4 was released, M$'s already started working on FS2k6.  Since I work for them, I got to see it before anyone else.  (They got it done really fast  Roll Eyes)  So while they weren't looking, I took a few shots.  8)

The mooney flying over New England.
...

Yes, they still have the old 2D panels in FS2k6, as this pic shows.

Just wait until FS2050 when it comes out on Holodeck. I just hope Ozzy remembers to leave the safeties on.  He'll probably by 80 or 90 by then. Or if he ever gets a real Spitfire, he'll be dead by then.  Grin

They are sitting in boxes in the M$ factory, while you blow your money on the slow junk they tout as the newest, fastest, top-of-the-line! Undecided

.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......

One of these years, microsoft will slap "Flight Simulator" on the side of a plane and say it's the new version.  I'll bet people will still complain about unrealistic graphics and performance, though...  Tongue lol

No, that's not really FS2k6, I don't really work for M$, and those sceneries are really photos.  Grin  I was just mixing elements of FS2k2 with photos in photoshop and made the rest up for fun.  Wink

That would be neat if FS 06 had graphics like that. who knows? Maybe '08 or '10 will have graphics like that.

i think we need to accept the fact that the graphics will never be photorealistic and always have some element of 'game graphics' in them if you know what i mean.

I wouldn't say that. Look at the direction FS is already headed in. Plus, Do you think that when FS first was released they thought that the graphics would ever be this advanced? I think not. With technology upgrading almost daily, there is no telling what we may see in the next three or four versions.
