hello all, I hope you have the answer to this one. I wanted some Scottish scenery for cfs2 and I put in a search and came across some for cfs2 and what looks to be a beautiful demo from "visual flight". The demo is of the Scottish Islands and seeing that I live on the Isle of Skye and wanted to fly over my home village, I down loaded it. The problem is that it seems only fit for fs2002
and it's a self extracter (is that the correct term), and doesn't seem to work, so what do I do apart from purchase fs2002. Is there a way to get this fine mesh scenery to work on cfs2?
All help will be greatly appreciated and a small dram of finest Talisker malt to everyone.
Cheers
F.

Did you try directing the extract path for the auto-install to a Temp folder? You could then install it manually in the usual way. That usually works.

I can't guarantee that it will be compatible with CFS2. You will have to try it to find out. The FS2002 default scenery certainly won't be compatible so there's no point in purchasing it just for the scenery. It's possible to add the FS2000 default scenery to CFS2 but you might be disappointed with the terrain. http://www.simviation.com/lair/fs2kincfs2.htm

PS. Terrain mesh is usually an enhancement to the default area. I don't think it will be listed on the CFS2 selection menu or be detailed enough to show your home village. Unless you installed any local airfields you would need to enter the exact co-ords to fly over it.
