Directly over my house?? Simply nothing Embarrassed

But at the local airport you watch cessnas use the airfield regularly, and every once in a while, we'll get the occasional business jets and twin engine aircraft.

but other then that, no Sad

I live only a couple of blocks from a hospital, so the Care flight Helicopter comes right overhead a lot of times, the local airport is just down the road, but mostly just Cessna sized planes come in there.
Every now and then if the weather is just right we get some bigger traffic coming from or going into South Bend, but they are still quite high, and even then they are only small regional jets

Where I grew up about 10 miles north of here, our backyard was right under J584, directly between Chicago and Detroit, always major airliner traffic, growing up there is part of the reason I have such an interest in aviation, I spent my whole life until I moved from there watching the sky.

Where I lived in Mesa, Arizona was on the final approach to Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, that was the greatest for plane watching, low airliners all the time, and only a fifteen minute drive to the airport.

I live near Langley AFB, so I get lots of F-15's flying around.  And of course some other planes, too.  (both airliners and visiting military).  I'll be seeing some F-22's soon, too!  Grin

Most Boeings and aribuses fly over my house daily, which are leaving from Heathrow. 747s make quite a lot of noise aswell. Roll Eyes Many years ago the concorde used to pass over, not anymore though. I'm also on a helicopter flightpath i think, so a few of them aswell. Grin

I live on the southern flight path into Lester B Pearson International (CYYZ). Most airplanes that fly over head are large Boeings, Airbuses, and Dash 8s.

The closest airport to me is Burlington Airpark (CZBA). I see a lot of Cessna 172s and 182s but I sometimes I see King Airs. Today I saw a Jetranger III flying over my model airfield. I also see vintage aircraft due to my proximity to the Warplane Museum at Hamilton (CYHM). A lot of ambulance helicopters fly overhead because I live only a 2 minute walk from the local hospital.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. I remember after Sept. 2001, when they had the 24 hour air patrol of the east coast, all the jets taking off woke me up every night at 3am.  Tongue  I think they were changing shifts at that time or something.  But they haven't done that for a long time.  (or maybe I got used to it?  Wink)

Several years ago my uncle lived directly west
of the airport in Fort Smith Ark. On the weekends
the Air National Guard, F-4s and later F-16s would
take off 3/5 at a time, he called it the most beautiful
noise in the world!! He had spent 7 years
aboard the carrier Coral Sea!!! Was 'There' during
the Cubain Missile  crisis!!
