I have had two versions of FS (FS98 and FS2002) and want to begin scenery designing, I tried using Airport for Windows, FSSC and easy Object Designer, but have not managed to figure out half of how it is done and the guides are way over my head. Does anyone know where I can get either:
a) a simple scenery creator
b) a simple guid to any of the programs named above

Unfortunatly, the programs you mentioned are the easiest available. Learning all three of those programs is biting off more than you can chew. Before learning EOD, you should download some macros and learn to place them before learning to design your own. I use Airport and you can try the tutorial at this site:

Try the latest version of FSSC. It has an updated tute included (from FSSC Help) + examples of various airfields for different versions of FS. I think you'll find it a lot easier to understand.

The site seems to be down right now so try later.
It's best if you have a good understanding of the basic principles & installing/using 3rd party scenery. Don't be too ambitious to start with.
