i hadn't had a chance to try out any heli's in 2004 yet so i thought i would take a sightseeing tour around Oahu.
on the north side of the island i saw some kids sailing out to cable junction.
then on my way to pick up magnum i lost my tail rotor.
i had to set her down in the valley.
it would have been a more pleasant trip if i hadn't lost the tail rotor, and maybe got to see a sunrise or sunset at least..jk

Nice! I like the sailboats. Really adds a touch of realism. Now just waiting for the farmer to run out and yell about landing on his rutabagas!

strait forward cruising in a heli is just like flying a 172, but slow speed manuvering, ya know what heli's are really good at, sideways backwards and stuff takes some practice.

I tried learning it a few days ago, and let me tell you from a begginers view, its difficult! Taking off and getting going is easy, you just throttle up and pitch forward a tad. But landing is nearly impossible! I crashed about thirty times before I actually got 'er on the ground! After about twenty tries I managed to get to the ground without smashing into something
but then proceeded to bounce about the runway something awful!!
Try it, but don't give up. I kept doing it until I got it right, and managed to finally get the hang of it, and now I can fly around an airport and land the Bell without screwing up.
