I recently spotted this airplane at an airport near helsinki Finland in FS2004. It's not in the list to fly.. but the aircraft model itself has to be saved with the game somewhere right? What would it take to make it flyable or could somebody do it for me?
I appreciate it.

Looks like a DeHavilland Dash8 to me and you will find them in the FS2002 Prop files here at Simv. If it is shown in 2004 then the 2002 models should be ok(guessing) Other panels and sounds are also available but not a huge choice. Cheers

Thanks for the info. I downloaded it and gave it a try. I got a warning when selecting it in the 'create a flight'
menu saying it isn't fully compatable and might cause errors though. So I didn't fly it.
Thanks again.

I believe there is a download available to make the Dash 8 flyable. It may be available here. If not, try avsim.com or flightsim.com

To make the dash 8 flyable, make a copy the Boeing 737's .air file and transfer it into the dash "dh_dash8_100" folder. Backup and move the old Dash 8 airfile out of it's folder. Now rename the 737 airfile with the as the same name as the old Dash 8 air file. Pick a panel form any aircraft, make a copy and move it into the Dash 8's folder. You should now be able to fly it. A similar process can be used to make the default AI MD-83 flyable.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

Awesome. Just what I was looking for. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the info.
*EDIT* I was unable to find the 'dh_dash8_100' folder. After looking around I typed it into the search and searched the whole flight simulator 9 folder and it wasn't found. Or, are you talking about the folder for that freeware that was mentioned above? I don't remember what folder it was because I removed it. Not a problem to reinstall though.
Thanks

To make the Dash 8 flyable, edit the *.air file. Change the "airplane type" from "2" (which designates it as AI) to "0" (designates it as "normal")
The sounds are already aliased to the King Air.
There is no panel.cfg, so just make a panel.cfg and alias it to the King Air.

You can find a flyable Dash 8 at flight sim.com. Search fs 2004 for dash 8 and download it.
