First of all, my FS2002 is set in windowed mode.

When in cockpit view, and ONLY in the cockpit view, there's a fuzzy band overlaying much of the panel. If I move the mouse, the band fades away for an instant, and then comes back. Furthermore (I'm flying a 757 with a 777 glass cockpit window) the band is not visible over an animation like the airspeed gauge or N2 readout. When looking at the band, it's heavily pixellated (dithered) like I'm trying to view something in 256 colors. The band also pulsates, from less solid to more solid.

If I click off the FS window, the band disappears, all is normal. The band does not show in any other views. It only shows when the FS window is active.

Any suggestions? I've tried playing with my display settings, no dice.

I had a similar experience in full screen mode trying to run on 16k colours, only fixed by running on 32k colours.
