After a long run with CFS3 I've finally given up, and am settling for CFS2 once and for all.  In fact, CFS3 only remains installed because of the Stuka coming up, it just might save the day...

I'm writing to ask for nothing other than the age old question, where can I get...?  It's been awhile, and I'm sure a bit has been released since I quit CFS2.  I really don't care what the plane is as long as it meets these standards:
  • Poly count close to stock aircraft
  • Textures at least equal in quality to stock CFS2 ones (I am an absolute harsh critic when it comes to textures)
  • VC included
  • A panel somewhere (doen't have to be with the aircraft)
  • pilot is ejectable
  • Animations are done correctly
  • Preferably gMax, but FSDS is okay, I guess

When I got CFS3 the only good CFS2 add-ons available were the Groundcrew He-111, the FDG P-51 (almost disqualified for textures) and Mauro's Bf. 109.  Uh oh, something just dawned on me...  I promised him I was gonna make him a pilot figure! Tongue Oops, I feel bad... Anyway, has anything come out since then?  I saw a P-40 and Ju. 88 that looked interesting, but the thumbnails always decieve...  Or am I being too picky?  (I'm not gonna change anyway Roll Eyes)

You said it Scorpion. You are just too picky. I wouldn't dare suggest anything as I know it wouldn't satisfy you. LOL  Tongue  Wink

I wouldn't say that... Roll Eyes I figure if I found three planes then, I could find another three or four now.  It's just gonna be hard to find them with the hundreds of planes released since then. Tongue And Richie, thanks for the link, it looks kinda promising! Cheesy

Well Scorpion pal, I know you don't like the Paul Rebufatt Spitfires (even the ones you can still find now his site is gone!) but I do suggest you check out the stuff from  Krzysztof Malinowski. He has done sever very, very good types now including B24, P-40, P-47 and JU88. Loads of versions of each and all superb. They do hit the frame rates a bit, but I have almost all of them installed in CFS2 and 2K2 and I love them.
You can find them all here at SimV in the CFS2 section. Go for the latest P-40's as the first ones had a few problems but he sorted that all out with his new stuff.

Oh, and if you like Korean stuff, Hagar and his pals at Fox Four have some great stuff.

Thanks Hawker, you just reminded me.  I remember downloading his P-40 and you took the words out of my mouth!  Good (VC is a little blocky though), but a bit of a frames hitter.  I'll go investigate! Grin Although it's so hard to tell the difference between repaints and the original. Tongue
