I like to have everything maxed out, except AI (usually 10%) and in FS2002 this worked out OK for me.  Provided I don't get any of those wierd problems (planes going haywire), will FSCF work OK on my system?

  • Windows 98, with SE updates
  • NVidia GeForce 4 Ti4200, 64 MB
  • 512 MB RAM
  • Intel Pentium III 500 Mhz processor

On another nore, I'm not afraid (and usually do) to run simulators on 800x600, except CFS3.

Are taxiway signs default in FS2004?  And if so, are they 3D?

I don't think your processor is enough. You have just over the bare minimum of 450mhz. Don't hold me on this but I think 800X600 is the minumum resolution in FS2004. Video card, Ram, and OS are fine.

Taxiway signs are default in FS2004 and they are 3D. The don't have an impact on frame rates as addon taxi signs in FS2002 did.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. Shweet!  Thanks for the reply Orenda, people just haven't been replying to my posts lately.  I hated getting taxi directions and then still being lost. Roll Eyes Tongue My dad says getting a new processor requires a new motherboard, and that you might as well buy a new computer after that.  Any idea on what kind of frames I could expect?

Scorpion. I have a PIII 800, 512 Mb RAM + Voodoo5 5500 64 Mb video card on WinMe. FS2004 runs well enough if a tad slow. It's a lot smoother than FS2002. I could be wrong but if you want a reasonable performance on max settings I don't think your system is up to it.

Well, all I want to say is I expect something at least 8 FPS.  With my underpowered PC I've long since accustomed myself to slow frames. Roll Eyes
