Hello...........

After purchasing this product and patiently waiting for it to install, one worry surfaced in my mind, "will flying without the aid of a joystick essentially be flying a brick?".  My worst fears were answered when I was suprised to find that when I wish to ascend/descend, fly upwards and downwards. etc, the (virtual) stearing column remains at its position without returning to keep the plane level- is this a problem that is inevitable when using the cursor keys?  Can this problem be solved (I have always assumed that one must hold down a flight stick to dive, climb. etc).

Your solutions will be heartily appreciated.

Thanks

I should add an elaboration of this problem- the fact is that I find the dynamics of actually flying any of the planes very difficult indeed as I have constantly to, for example climb (by depressing the "2" cursor key), when I reach the hight that I want just letting go of the jey will not return the virtual flight stick to the center- I have to pain fully adjust the position of the flight stick by pressing the "8" cursor- yet I may push the flight sitick too far and actually start diving.  The same goes for steering as well.  This may seem like a trifling quibble to your experienced flight enthusiast, but I would like to render the flight controls to that of any other flight simulator- i.e. you must keep the cursor\number key (or selected key of preference) depressed to steer/climb- and that when you wish to stop climbing\steering, all you must do is release the said key.  IS THIS POSSIBLE (the consice part of this message!)?

Thanks for your time.

You've  probably already spent 30 or 40 bucks on CFS3 so do yourself a favor and buy a cheap joystick for 10 or 20 bucks. I have a few extra joysticks here but it would cost me more to ship them that what they're probably worth.

Don't feel bad about spending a few dollars on a joystick. As soon as I get the latest mod done to my Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar I'll have spent well over $800.00 on it. I'm a bit obsessive/compulsive about my kitty.  Smiley

You really can't enjoy CFS3 without a joystick ... and they're so cheap nowadays ... probably 5 bucks on eBay. Please, please, please get a joystick. Please?

Maybe I'm the strange one.
