Would it possible for me to ask AvHistory to let me use their Corsair source files?  I've become so frighteningly unenthusiastic about CFS3, and I've finally realized why.  I've reached a point of madness without a Corsair to fly (the AvHistory model has too many "snags" for me to keep).  Just fly CFS2 you say?  Well my Ti4200 acts screwy with CFS2, and hardware issues prevent me from installing CFS2.  Is AvHistory known for being liberal with their source files?

Because my list is quite extensive and they pobably wouldn't want to bother.
  • No Color Stripes
  • No Letters
  • No Nose Art
  • Interior model is too jagged
  • Some of the exterior model looks strange
  • Default pilots aren't used
  • Only one model is available, as opposed to CFS3's stock 2-3

I just think it'd be easier for me to touch these things up, since they don't bother most other people.  Why would they go through all that trouble for just one person?

Theres no harm in asking.  Just tell them why, the stuff you said above.

Oh yeah.  Didn't think about it that way.  Just kinda hard when you know most people don't give out their files no matter what.  I also have trouble trying to find any E-mail addresses on their site.

It's my understanding that with the AVHistory planes, the idea is that they're open for modification by anyone.

If this is correct I'm not sure it extends to the source files. AvHistory specialise mainly in refining the flight model & retexturing. Although they might have aircraft designers on the team, most of their 1% aircraft are the work of different individual 3rd party designers.
