Without a doubt, either 'The Blues Brothers' or 'The Big Chill'
The Big Chill is about as great a Motown album as could be produced.

I'm gonna have to go with any of the American Pie movies' soundtracks and the Top Gun soundtrack. Danger Zone is my all time favorite song to listen to while flying.

Peter Gabriel's "Passion"
which is the soundtrack to the movie "The Last Temptation of Christ"
This music to me is sex for the ears, and an adventure for the mind.

I cannot be-LIEEEEEVE that nobody has mentioned the greatest film music series of all time - Star Wars! John Williams has created a Ring cycle for the cinema, with so much character and tension, that you can follow the whole thing through from start to finish (except episode 3 of course), following the character development. Forget about George Lucas!
Rumour has it that Williams will retire from film composition once episode 3 is completed - shame.

Oh, and any score by Korngold, especially from the '40s - remember the Errol Flynn movies? 'The Sea Hawk' music is fabulous.
Bit of an orchestral freak, me.

Oh if you wan't to go that far then the Music in the Pianist was great (all that chopin its almost to good.)
The Star Wars music was good for the first three films and maybe episode 1 but Episode 2's music is so sort of.... "cobbled" together so to speak. They just stick in some cliched big tunes in the action scenes and other and more cliches in the awful romantic bits nothing as brilliant as Darth Mauls theme (its so evil its fantastic 8) almost as good as Mussorgsky and his Noght on Bald Mountain.)

The matrix soundtrack is cool, so is lotr
However, starwars is a crap movie with an ace soundtrack.
In my opinion this soundtrack was wasted on a crap movie.
I am annoyed.

I watched it again just a few days ago after a commercial for Disney World reminded me of the soundtrack.

it depends what movie your watching some music can be quite powerful espec on like war films i think pearl harbour is a good example
but my favourite would have the be the matrix and in particular the newst revolutions has got awesome soundtrack... by the way if no one has seen that movie yet i recomend it a lot although even the third part leaves questions unanswered which is strange..
