I got Gmax on one of my FS2K2 Pro disc last year. A few monthes ago I installed it just to see how involved the program was, me being a first time user of Gmax and all.

Two monthes later I go to open it and I get the following message:

"The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\System32\AVIFIL32.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

I removed Gmax and reinstalled but the same thing happened.

Windows XP help was of no use on this.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get Gmax running again?

Any response would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing ya gotta do is got to GMAX's web-site and d-load the current freeware version.. Then, there are several posts on the ensuing steps for designing FS planes.

From my experiences.. GMAX is one of "many" reasons I gave up on WinXP. I could never get it to run smoothly.
