If ArrCab has a EULA and it states that the copy you have (freeware) can be freely distributed than it should be legal to distribute.

If its got a blurb about not distributing than you can't.

CrazyCraig can you post a screen shot of the EULA just to satisfy my curiosity?

Well, I'm no lawyer, but after reading that, it seems to me that the terms to which you agreed stipulate that you're free to pass that copy around as you please, provided that you make no money doing so.

I also happen to agree with this quote. However, I have absolutely no need to obtain ArrCab, therefore I have no opinion on it whatsoever. I'm merely bringing this up for discussion.

With that said, to satisfy your "challenge" Wink

, I will say that if I were to want ArrCab, then I'd have no problems accepting a freeware copy of it from someone who was fortunate enough to download the copy when it was freeware. I would NEVER accept a copy of a payware program, that IS theft. However, freeware is freeware.

They got greedy after the software became successful. There isn't much that can be done about that. Hindsight is 20/20. 8)

I don't quite agree with that. Greedy means 'you want more of something'. In this case, its money. But, they [arrcab developers] didn't get any money <maybe very less> while the prog was a freeware.

I don't represent M$. Then why the name M$? Simple...I like what they make, especially FS!
