I have a new computer for MF2004 and have loaded it already, but that is another story. Now, I want to reinstall MS2k2 on the new computer also. I just bought FS2k2 last January and have a lot of AC and scenery add ons. Since I have never done this before I was wondering what is the best way to do this? Could I just load FS2k2 fresh and then copy the FS2k2 AC and Scerney files with the add -ons and replace those in the new install?? Would that work without having to go back and add each one seperately????? Sure would save a lot of work.
My system specs: Windows XP Pro SP1, Intel P4 Hyperthread 2.8 gh, AOpen MB 4AXMax, 1024 mb DDR 3500 PC Ram, ATI Radeon Pro 9800 (128 mb), WD 180 gb HD, Nec Multisync 22" Flat Screen Monitor.

That would be the best way to go, just don't
forget any loose ends, Effects, Sounds, Modules
ect!!
I like to load and check things over a period of
time, If there is a problem, you can catch it!!!

I want to back up what X has said. Last time my system died I was able to write to CD all the files I wanted to keep before re-installing the OS. I copied the Aircraft file to CD and happily re-installed everything. I had to scrap 2/3's of my aircraft because of missing Gauge files, it was highly annoying.
My advice would be to find the origional Zips you downloaded, connect the two computers by LAN and put them on that way.

Thanks guys. Smoke2much Ido have all of the zip files. I unzip the dl files to either a unzipped ac, scenery or panel file and then load them in to FS2k2 from there. That way I still have the original files if I screw something up or mess a file up. I do have a firewire connection on both computers so If you agree I think I could do it that way.
Thanks.
