I have just joined, and, although I have had FS98 since it came out I have never joined up to this forum - I actually have just recently got back into the game, since my exams (Commercial pilots license) are all over and I can sit back and enjoy the rest of the CPL cross country flying and have some time to myself!

I am after the following files, if anyone knows of where I can get any of these, please let me know! Cheesy

A1 Skyraider - Panel
Messerschmitt Me 262 - sounds
Quality Hurricane Mk1 with moving parts and spinning prop
Messerschmitt Me 109 - sounds
Quality Junkers Ju 88 with moving parts and spinning props
Quality Heinkel He219 with moving parts and spinning props
Quality Focke Wulf Fw190D same as above
Pitts S2 Special - panel and sounds

I haven't used a Converter before, but I was wondering does this work with CFS aircraft in that I can convert aircraft from that game over to FS98??
I do have many warbird aircraft but unfortunately the above ones still elude me, certainly in a high quality form.

#1 - Remember that "good quality" FS98 aircraft, in the sense of trasnparent canopies, shining effects etc.,inlcuding accurate colors are practically impossible.  Animations are limited - compared to FS2002.

#2 - A CFS1 aircraft can generally not be installed back into FS98, mainly because of the textures.  CFS1 started using non-palleted bitmaps, vs the strict palletized FS95/98 256-color palette.

Felix is right. FS98 is very limited plus addons are becoming rare. I would suggest that if you really love sim flying, get FS2004 or you can even get FS2002 for cheap. Of course you need a strong system to run these so if you don't have the requirements, stick to FS98 because upgrades can be very expensive.

You may even like CFS3. CFS3 includes a high quality Me 262, Bf109, Ju88, and FW190 as default aircraft and a good Hurricane is available for download among many other aircraft. Once again, you need a strong system to run this.

I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. Wink&&The Rig: &&AMD Athlon XP2000+ Palomino, ECS K7S5A 3.1, 1GB PC2700 DDR, Geforce FX5200 128mb, SB Live Platinum, 16xDVD, 16x10x40x CDRW, 40/60gb 7200rpm HDD, 325w Power, Windows XP Home SP1, Directx 9.0c with 66.81 Beta gfx drivers

I definately don't plan to spend money on upgrading my system for FS2002 because I don't use it anything like enough to justify the extra $$, I fly in real life as well so time is not always on my side!
When I said quality, I was meaning a tidy example, with good sound, moving parts and accurate clean handling, which is what I have in the warbirds I have so far, they are all good examples, but I can't find a FW190 that can match the ones I have currently, I recently found an He219 yesterday which I haven't put on yet so thats another one off the list.

FS98 is good for what I want, I am not particularly keen on going hard-out and spending thousands on a new system, but, if anyone can help me out with any of the above, it would be much appreciated! Cheesy
