OK...Approach to Crooked Lake has alot of gusty winds..
Thought this was going to be easy..
Crooked Lake is located on the top of a mountain.
There is a serene lake on the top.
I was having some trouble lining her up! The Robin and I were getteing blown to the South pretty hard.
I figured I would do a "fly-bye" just so I could get a visual on the runway.
The sun was setting fast and I needed a rest!!

...

I gave her some juice and we bailed out on the landing.  Let's see what this place looks like.

...

Ok..there is where I park my aircraft and it is also the end of the runway...(figures appraoch speeds, side gusts, length of runway.....doesn't look good).

...

The waters in the lake were absolutley "Blue"...
The way the sun danced on the lake made this trip well worth it!

...

There is where I will rest my head. Old #7 Crooked Lake Cabin,....
I see they left the light on.

...

Alright...enough sight seeing....it is time to land this thing and get to that campfire. Let's get on the ground.
