That book touched me is several ways. If I havent known better that book changed my life.  Cry

The following books I really did not enjoy reading

Two Solitudes

Its about 590 pages long, the author should have ended it around page 300. I think when the author starts wrting about his own life in a fictional book, hes running out of material

Heart of Darkness

This book was based on Joseph Conrads experience in the Congo. The book is full of symbols and a bunch of other jargon. Then it started to deal with the destruction of the human mind. A small thing I learnt from the book, is that we must perservere to fight the things that can destroy us. It was worded properly when I was taking notes, but you get the point. The movie version was called Apocalypse Now

The Wars

I had to read it for school, but I didn't. The first chapter was just too boring. I was more worried with Calculus and Geometry. Not reaading it cost me on the final exam, but I passed.  Roll Eyes

As an extra, I hated Dr. Killgore from Rainbow 6.

Sorry I'm writing so much. Its 6:30 in the morning and I only got one hour of sleep.

Ozzy,

I just don't see it as particularly relevant to any type of University Course i am going to start next year.  But I have learnt to accept the fact that there are somethings i just have to do.

I know what you mean Poly, a lot of the stuff I was forced to learn at school has since proved be to be slightly less useful than a chocolate teapot!

I had forgotten about Heart of Darkness.  I read it after I heard the Apocalypse Now story.  Moby Dick had a story, even if it was fully predictable after page 1.  Heart of Darkness never made any sense at all.

Actually there is a film of heart of darkness but it was called heart of darkness.

Apocalypse Now is just based on the same ideas and still a very good film.
