Whats the worst book you ever read?  Any kind any subject.  Mine was a book I had to read for school a few years back called One Fat Summer.  It was about a fat kid who spent his summer mowing and taking care of this old guys lawn.  Whats yours?

If a book doesn't capture my interest within the first few chapters I won't read any further. There have been plenty of these, but I can't think of any specific titles at the moment.

Steinbech, something about these mexican pearl divers.  Of Mice and Men was OK, but that other one was absolutely dire.

Now I'm nolonger at school I get to choose what I read and I know what I like.

Hmm there are a lot on this list for me. At uni. we had to read a lot of things I didn't like.
I'd say almost any book that has won the Nobel Prize For Literature is on my list especially One Hundred Years of Solitude. That  bored me to the point of entering a coma!

I'm agreeing with Grapes of Wrath... Roll Eyes...no doubt it's a classic, but it's so evil the way everything goes wrong and everyone dies! Embarrassed

Oh, yeah, I've read The Pearl too...another sad one... Roll Eyes

The worst thing is my Englsh teacher thinks I'm doing an RPR on Grapes of Wrath.  I'm doing Piece of Cake whether she likes it or not! Tongue

I tend to find the 'classic' books the most boring.  I really don't like Macbeth (which we are doing in english now).  How can a person who writes in such a way that no-one can decipher what is going on be called a genius.  Shakespeare is weird.
