If your email address is on your profile I'll send it now.
The email will be from steve@citiguard.com.au in case you don't recognise the email with an attchment an don't want to download (I never download unless i'm sure of who sent it)
Anyone else who wnats a copy, whole I'm at work today, say so now, for the next 8 hrs from this posting time.
Supply you email in the post so I don't have to waste time looking it up in profiles etc.
Steve
P.S. Piper warrior, if you giove me your email I will send it.

I have (the one recommended in the SimV upload section) and the 'resize' option does not come up for GIF's.
I don't know how to resize this type of file if it can't be done in Infranview.
Besides, it's 444 kb. How small would it be to get it down under 100 kb?
The problem is this is an animated GIF - not just a GIF - an animated GIF is several GIFs that are stitched together & set as a 'slide show' at whatever speed ....
There are plenty of GIF animators out there - that will separate out each image - you could resize them & reanimate them....... & maybe get them under the 30K max (30K for sigs)
I never saw this Penguin thing .. but I do look in the images upload folder almost every day & yes- would have instantly deleted anything that was 400k
- like I'm always trying to get across - these rules are not here for fun - they are here to help the server deal with the heavy workload it has 24/7 .. & when things get heavy on the forums - I get complaints from people with problems using the rest of the site -

Just a thought. It might be easier if Brensec posts a link to the site where he found those hilarious penguins.
I still giggle just thinking about it.
Then anyone who wished could download the GIF themselves. That's providing he can remember where he got them in the first place.

I perfectly understand, Pete.
As you can see from my original post in this thread, I fully expected that it would be deleted in short order. (In fact, I do acknowledge that I really shouldn't have put it up to begin with) I think I desribed the act as 'an errant indulgence' and thanked 'whomever' for allowing it to be up for the short time it was.
But I thought it was just to good not to share. I also indicated to 'the powers that be' that it was there, immediately, fully expecting that it would be deleted before any harm was done. My pure aim was that some may see it and grab it for their own use.
It would seem that it has 'tickled a few fancies' and there is much discussion over the whole thing, which unfortunately paints me in an irresponsible light for attempting to bypass the system, even if it be for a short period, for unselfish reasons.
I get as impatient as anyone when the site slows down, and (as I pointed out when first posting the item) would never ask for special consideration or expect any treatment other than that which is entitled to all.
This, all having been said, would you like me to email the Gif to you, so you can see what all the fuss is about?

P.S. Hagar, it was sent to me in an email at work. I would never download something like that from an email at home unless I knew who it was from. In fact, it came from the boss, so I knew it was safe to open.
