I was just wondering if the a/c that are listed on EirePlane's site will be the only ones allowed.  I know that there is a F-35 JSF amoung others that would be interesting to see here.

you can fly whatever you want as long as you put the location in the Your Plane box i.e Spitfire Mk I @ www.simviation.com/fs2002military10.htm
The site was updated yesterday and even has pics of some of the planes. http://fsairshow.tripod.com

Could someone please answer this question for me. I seem to have found two planes that might be interesting to see atthe airshow and one could be part of the Grand Finale. I was just wondering if I enabled these planes for AI only (in other words They can't pick the plane in the menu)  would they still show up in the air show if I had the original plane.

I wouldn't think so Mitchel.
Couple of things, Roger and I did a workup this morning in the SpitXIV from page 9 of vintage, and they work fine! One or two pilot problems to iron out....
And FSHost 2.6 is out now and fixes a lot of the bugs with earlier versions.
We did some nice overshoots of each other!!! I've got to get used to the Griffon engine characteristics, but I reckon we'll be good for it.
Oh and there are no Spitfires in the military pages, you'll find the MkV on page 4 of vintage, and the XIV on page 9. I don't know of any other 2k2 ones here. And the V doesn't work well online!!!

Thanks Ozzy, just checking them now. Should I still ask Doc Moriarty if he wants to release his Concept plane at the show

I like the idea of a fly-in, I would have to break away from my Misadventures and make a special trip from wherever I happen to be in the world when this all goes down.

Am I looking at this thread in the wrong light?  Is it an airshow you guys are trying to plan or a group fly-in?

Dont mean to sound sarcastic in any way, just genuinely confused with what your trying to arrange here...

It looks like there'll be a fly-in on the Friday night, and the airshow on the Saturday. Just to make it more realistic, and give me a chance to get my gunsights on a few forum members Grin Grin Grin

Ozzy

PS. The 3 man Spit team is getting its stuff together, what about the rest of you?

Few questions:

~Are there any WWI or WWII planes available that have gun sounds?  I'd like to do a dogfight demo with a friend of mine, but I'm not sure if this would be possible without it just looking like two planes flying around aimlessly.

~Also, are visitors going to have to download all the planes in order to see them on their screens?  This has been an issue on multiplayer for a while now...

Great edit, Bob.&&&&&&Google it. &&&&www.google.com

Hi Scott, there is a gun effect available for the Corsair, I've got it tucked away somewhere if you want me to send it too you, but spectators will be unable to see it because it is an effect, but at least you'll be able to shoot your friend down Wink
And yes, none standard aircraft will have to be downloaded.
I think what we need to do is arrange a timetable of events so people can watch what interests them. Eire is making a list of the planes, with links to the pages you need to download them, so not to difficult, and most of these are popular planes anyways so you've probably got them in your hangar already.
I'm hoping to organise a dogfight with ATI, he's been asking for one for a while Roll Eyes Spitfire vs probably a Fw190.
Some WWI planes would be cooooool. Not many people fly the default Camel, and I love it, that would be v.cool to have that dogfighting one of the German WWI planes we have here.

After seeing it indiscovery wings early this morning I agree that we should have the camel and mabye even the corsair in the show.
One of the spits didn't download right so i'm trying again now.
I can't say what I'm flying yet because due to a lack of landability in this aircraft (My problem not the AC) I may be forced to change but i'm practicing! I
f you are a pilot then please either register here or leave your FULL name, E-Mail address, Plane and a link if it's not on the list and your location so I can get a timetable sorted.
