Eire--
I'd also put the Blue Angels (complete with the C-130 escort), perhaps some hang gliders (if they're even available), and some vintage planes....
I'd also go a bit longer than a month from now....as that other post said, they practiced every day for an hour for six weeks! lol
Great edit, Bob.&&&&&&Google it. &&&&

That's a great idea. I had to vote no because of my internet connection but I hope you'll post plenty of screen shots.
For a suggestion of aircraft, you might consider some acts other than military demonstration teams. Some experimental planes and regular aerobatic aircraft. I'm sure Ozzy would love to do some stunts in the 747.

Oooohh.....A High Speed/Low Altitude fly by with the 747 would be cool.
My only question, and hopefully someone more knowledgable will help me out....how would we (and others) be able to "Watch" the demonstrations?

Does anyone know how to get more than 16 to be able to see the show (when hosting from within the game the max is 16)
The virtual airshow I mentioned,we used FSHost (max then is 255
)
"I'd also put the Blue Angels "
I'll drop the old team a mail & see if they're interested in doing it again.

Some Industry "sponsors" wouldn't be a bad idea either...even if not financial, perhaps just a banner on their sites in order to get their names in the virtual "program"....

I saw a C-5 come in to an air show in Montana, a few years back. It was only there for a static display, but he did a lo-alt flyby with gear and flaps down, nice and slow. Watchng that monster land like a feather on a pillow was what really caught our attention.
I'd love to do the same, and park with the nose and tail doors open for some Touch Football, on the cargo deck!!!!
That's if you're going to have some static displays.

If you guys are interested in an online Airshow, there is one being organised over at the RAFv Org. Its set to take place sometime in October I believe and is already in advanced stage of planning by the looks of things.
Worth a look:

I think if we're going to do this properly then all pilots should submit their names, and the aircraft they fly aerobatically.
Then we can have different groups, like the Blue Angels, maybe a group of Extra 300s doing a display, me in my big An-225 flying over the runway with all the blood being compressed into my head, maybe some heli stuff (I'm sure Cal would like to show us what he can do)...
Also we'll need a list of the participating aircraft for any observers, as they'll need to download them onto their machine so as to be able to see any non-standard aircraft (I discovered this problem when flying with Fozzer) online.
We could also do some simulated dogfights, e.g. WWI and II aircraft, and modern stuff. Just to show what planes can do at their limit.

I doubt I could participate due to my slow dial-up connection
that shouldn't be a problem paz, I can fly fine and I only have dial-up

Where can I get the blue angels. I had some hang gliders but deleted them because they are for FS98. I'm searching the vintage planes today.

Waaaay Ahead of you! I have a 747-123 with a shuttle on top.

Good ideas Ozzy but i'm not sure about the dogfights, how do we do them in FS2002
I've been thinking, instead of using Northolt AB, we could use Heathrow. That way we can take off from one and land on the other while the next act gets ready to take off from the first

Guys, reading what you have been saying here with regards to Statics, be aware that they WILL slow down your PC when your in the air trying to conduct your routine!

I think this is a fantastic idea! I'd love to take part with a Spitfire solo demo, but I voted to just be an obsever because I'm not sure my flying is up to the standard of you guys. Still, if your stuck for a (very) basic Spitfire solo, give me a call

The static's will only be on show while the rest of us are grounded for a break or something

You can participate if you want. My skills aren't that good in most military plaes but i'm getting the hang of it. It just takes practice.

I didn't mean actually killing each other, I meant like the chase things they do at the Warbird Airshows, I'm sure ATI would love to take a 190 out against my Spit.
If we're going to fly out of Heathrow we'd better turn off AI traffic!!!!
Roger, I'll do a Spit formation with you if you want.
Mark
PS. One other thought. Effects DON'T show-up online. So things like smoke won't be visible to anyone except the pilot doing the flying, and also props/rotors will appear static to spectators.
