I cannot remember where I saw the discussion going on about "great airport files".... but in it someone mentioned the great add-on for Kansai in Osaka, Japan.  I have been using this one for a long while....paired with another nice one of Narita.  I do a lot of flights between the two.

The Kansai Airport add-on is by Miyazaki Kazuhiro (family name first) and the one I am using is version 1.0 from 12/24/02.  There may be a newer one.

This airport has AMAZING details.  The number of AFCAD gates is huge.  A LARGE area has been modeled in exacting detail.  It is an astounding FREEWARE effort.  He is to be commended.

In my pictures here, I have added people into the concourse of the terminal building....all the windows are beautifully done and you'll literally find seating for thousands inside the windows.  I have also added some ground support crew and equipment.  This is all done with Flight Sim Scenery Enhancer.

Yes... that is a payware program.  It is a really FAST way to add objects.  You do it sort of in real time while in the Sim....... no more in and out of the sim to chack placement.  The downside is that you can't share them unless someone else has the program to "activate" them.  They have a website for sharing the files though.

SO...... here is the crowd wating at the terminal gate for their flight to arrive.

...

Another view of the crowded terminal building.

...

Here passengers are boarding a plane at the next gate.

Here is a detail from another part of the huge airport complex.

...

Hope this whets your appetite for the scenery created by Miyazaki-san.  He has lots of other places done just as well.  Search on his name.

BTW.... the aircraft the panel is on is the BAe 146-200 by Jon Murchison....... a GREAT plane too.  Check out the reflective textures on the metallic one.

best,

..............john

Astro.......

You did that at the same time I was trying  Wink.

OK...so my second try I did the EXACT same thing again.  This time 3 of the photos showed.... but the first one did not.

I went back and checked the original of the posting (hitting the BACK button on the browser) ...... and the image inserts are ALL the same.   The single exception is that on the first image the width of the window is such that the filename is broken onto two lines between the "img" tag and the "/img" tag.

Only difference.

I'm still baffled at why it didn't work the first time.  What did YOU do?

best,
