Well my flight landed on time in Ketchican and here are the latest pictures from my trip.
Here we are on our decent. Was alittle bumpy but otherwise smooth.
Ketchican Airport is nestled in Ketchican Harbor. It is a “shipping” lane for many cargo and oil tankers that are transporting commodities.
Our gear is down and we are almost there.
As we fly by, the big jet is ready to land.
Touchdown as the sun drops below the mountains.
Reverse thrust…this runway isn’t that long!
We come to the end of the runway and I get a nice view of the harbor as the jet exits the runway.
As we taxi to the gate, my mind is racing with excitement. I start to think about the trip I have planned. I have never done this before. I hope I prepared enough. I looked around for hanger 3 but did not see it. That is where my “baby” was waiting for me. Larry said she is fully fueled and ready for flight! My 1st destination is Crooked Lake and the weather looks great.
We arrive at the gate and I gather my stuff. My adventure is about to begin. I will send some shots when I get to Crooked Lake. Wish me luck!
