I read somewhere that because of the 9/11
thing, some items in FS2002 where mislocated
for a reason! I know of several airports that
are on the wrong side of the road??, and
that runways are not running in the exact
heading as in real life!!!

Wow....what an interesting piece of info, X.  I hadn't heard that before, but I wouldn't be surprised at all.  Wasn't there speculation at one point that the 9/11 $#@&ers used F$ to "practice"?  It would make sense that M$ tried to cover themselves by intentionally misplacing things.

Unfortunately, the landmarks that were targeted were so huge that even without a map, if you can get yourself in the general area, you can find them....

I remember some senators wanted to ban flight simulators on home computers because of some evidence that the terrorists used FS to plan.  (then there was that kid in Fl who used it, too.)  Maybe that's what they did to change their mind?

I think he means payware.  I've seen the ad.  There's an awsome payware Rio scenery.  This is the payware scenery that Ozzy was talking about.  There are screenshots of the Jesus statue and the rest of Rio de Janeiro here:
http://www.worldsceneries.com/wonderfulrio2002/option2.htm

I haven't looked at the price until now, (most payware is overpriced in my opinion) but at $17, it's a nice price for such a quality scenery.

Yeeeahhhh . . . payware is what I meant.  Leave it to me to be half-asleep typing on here. Roll Eyes

Problem is, I can't afford to get any extra stuff right now, even $17 worth.  Oh, well.  Maybe next month . . .

Actually I was wrong.  The expansion was $17, but the original scenery package is in the 20's somewhere.  (22 euros, I forgot what that translates to in US$  Unless you're in europe, then I guess that works lol)  But still, it's an ok price for that scenery.

Guess it's time to save your pennies.  Grin  Hopefully you'll have some extra money for it soon!
