I cannot get the ships to appear or the static airplanes to appear. I extracted the ships to the Cfs2 ship folders, am i suppose to do something else?

I checked this out for another member some time ago but to be honest I can't remember what it's all about now. There should be install instructions in a Readme file in the download. Some missions require extra downloads so make sure you have all the necessary files. Please ignore any instructions to extract zipfiles direct to the sim. In my experience this is the most common cause of all installation problems. Use the right-click "Extract to folder....." option to extract the files to a temp folder, then paste the extracted files/folders into their approriate locations in the sim.

OK, I checked out phpships.zip for you. I assume this is the one you mean. If you took my advice to extract it to your temp folder you will have a folder like this.

...

Open the unzipped folder to see this.

...

To install the ships, paste all the folders into CFS2\SHIPS. Then you need to open descrip.dat (in the CFS2\INFO folder) in Notepad & copy/paste the entries from the Readme below the last entry. Exit Notepad saving changes. It's a good idea to take a backup copy of all files before editing them. CFS2 ships will only show up in missions so unless missions are included with the download you either need to write your own or find some using these particular ships.

I imagine the static aircraft are included in the scenery. Extract the zipfile in the same way as before & follow my install instructions here. http://www.simviation.com/lair/cfs2scenclinc.htm
Then run CFS2 & activate it via the Scenery Library as shown in my tute. The new scenery should then be selectable from the Free Flight menu.
