Hello fellow aviators,

I posted a request for advise on this forum only a couple of days ago on the same subject, but a different matter.

I now can use my Micosoft Sidewinder Pro in windos XP but with minimum settings.

I was able to (don't ask me how) use the stick in FS2002 for a short time before my C:\ had a huge crum spit!!!! ((No fault of FS2002))

I have since replaced the hard drive and reformatted and loaded the sim back on but with no success in using the joystick.

It is connected OK, I tried it in Comanche 4 just to make sure, but there no hope in hell of having FS2002 accepting it.

Would there be any advice out there on what could be wrong, I done the usual "JOYSTICK ENABLED" calibrated, etc 50,000 times. (Well not quite that many)

Getting extremely frustrated, I look forward to hearing from anyone!!!!

Smiley Try calibrating the joystick outside the program, going through the windows control panel. Also try reinstalling Fs2002 and see if that will help. There is another program that acts as a interface with Fs2002 called FSUPIC. You can use a section in there used for joysticks and help as a interface between the joystick and Fs2002.
Hope this helps a little.

Nah, still no good....

Looks like I will need to buy another joystick or partition for win 98. ( New joystick sounds easier).
