I am running a dual PIII 1.2GHz machine with a pair of GeForce4 MX420's (64M 3d scenery) and a GeForce2 MX200 (32M 2d panel) and MSFS2002. I can unlock the panel window just fine from the scenery but when I make a seperate window for another view of scenery the computer slows down to a 486's pace. This is unacceptable.

I believe that the sim is switching to software rendering of the 3d but I am not sure how to fix it. I have tried everything I can think of. I would appreciate some advice from anyone who has successfully completed this.
